A) Installation - top
First upload all the files from the folder "files" to your domain via FTP. Make sure to install it in the root directory. (domain.com/ and not domain.com/whatever/)
Create a database in your hosting control panel or make sure you have the login details of an existing one. Note that the script does not use prefixes and it is recommended that you install it on a standalone database.
To begin installing, visit your website. In this documentation we will use "domain.com" to be our domain name. You should see this message:
If you see this message, visit domain.com/install.php to starte the installer:
The istaller will now check your requirements and you will see an error message if you can not run the script. In that case, please contact your webhosting provider and ask them to enable that feature.
If all the requirements are fulfilled, you will see the Database configuration screen:
When the installer is connected to your Database, you will see this final steps message:
Remember to open the listed links in a new page/tab and not just click on them!
1) Visit your website. If you see an error, please rerun the installer.
2) Create an account. That account will be your admin account!
Ignore the "Confirm your account" message or any Email if you get one from the site.
...
3) Run domain.com/install2.php. This installer activates the account you created in step 2 and gives it admin powers!
4) Now open your website and login with the account you previously created. You will be redirected to our website (trafix.ga) so don't freak out. (Not unless you pirated this script!)
5) Close the window and follow the link from the installer. It's a direct link to the website settings in the admin panel. Change the "Url" setting to your domain. You are all set after that!
6) DELETE install.php and install2.php from your File manager!!!
B) Getting started - top
So you have installed the script and need to customize it.
Change the logo: There are 2 seperate logo files.
- Homepage logo: /tpl/img/logo.png (588x344 pixels) - You can open it and replace "Trafix" with your own brand.
- General logo: /members/img/template_logo.png (260x72 pixels) - Replace this with your logo. Does not need to be exactly that dimension.
*The general logo is displayed on the header of the members area and on the sign-up/sign-in forms. It should have a transparent background for better results.
The admin panel: Login with your admin account, you can then visit the admin panel from a link in the sidebar.
Change earning ratio:
Users can earn minutes, points and $$$ on your site.
-Minutes: Whenever a user views a website for XX Seconds, they will get XX% of that back as "minutes". The recomended setting here is at 60%-80%. This can be set in the settings in the admin panel.
-Points: You can manually assign points to your members for special actions like posts on forums or on social media. These points can be traded for extra minutes or premium time. To whom, how many and if you award points, is entirely up to you! To edit the default text, open /members/bonus.php with a text editor and scroll down to the bottom of the file. You can format the file however you like if you know how to write HTML, if not, simply replace the text with your own!
-Money: Your members will earn a commission of your sales if a user they invited purchases something. You can set that amount in the admin panel. The users will also earn a small amount of money by earning minutes. You can change or disable that in the file /members/earn-traffic-completed.php (again, open in a text editor):
set this value to "0" if you would like to disable it.
C) Script settings - top
Most of the settings in the admin panel are explained there (if not self explanatory), but let's get over some settings that might not be so clear.
Cron settings: You must setup those or important functions will not work (like tha daily bonus, daily stats etc...)
1. Visit cron settings, 2. Generate a "cronkey", 3. Setup 2 cronjobs with your webhosting provider. (Ask your provider how to do this if you are unsure!)
Daily Bonus Levels: Your members can earn daily bonuses if they are active.
We have already setup those for you, but you can delete them and award as much as you want. The same applies to "Bonus Points Rewards" which is how your members can redeem their points.
Award points: You have configured how people can redeem their points, but how will they get them?
1. Visit bonus points, 2. select user, 3. Type in a description an an amount of points. Remember, this is manual. Users will email you with their "work" and you can give them points according to quality etc..
Reported websites: The tool does its best to filter out blacklisted domains and frame breaking websites. However some submited pages may have unwanted content or ads. If somebody reports them, they will show up there. You can then check them or simply delete them if they were reported by many users.
D) PSD Files - top
We have included PSD files of the banners used in Trafix. Edit them and save them under /banners
F) Custom work - top
